Bangladesh's population in the poverty line has increased due to the global pandemic; some experts are suggesting it could double to 41% of the pollution (https://www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-economy-down-poverty-up-in-bangladesh/a-53759686.
An estimated 600,000 children are living and working on the streets of Dhaka.
Children on the streets face the dangers and offer from gangs ready to assimilate them into criminality and, worse, traffic them into sexually abusive and punishing work. Children who cannot find a job are often left with only the option to beg, leaving them prey for traffickers.
Daulatdia is the home to one of the largest brothels in the world; within the brothel village, 100s of children call the brothel their home.
Rescued children we cannot reunite with family, or it is unsafe, our children's home in Ramu will provide a new opportunity that all children deserve. Over 1 million Rohingya refugees currently reside in the camps in Cox's Bazaar. Over 420,000 are children (Save the children). The children do not have access to education, psychological support, and play space.
Our school under the sky, rescue a child outreach work and transitional shelter offer a lifeline to the street children. Our street children project is a complete solution to support street children in changing their outcomes in life.
Our child-friendly space provides informal education support and saves room for children to have fun and help the healing process. Our daycare helps provide a safe space for the children to spend time away from the brothel environment and get the support they need. Schools provide a safe place for children to grow and learn, and they are places where children can seek help, advice, and be inspired. The Pre Primary school in Sylhet provides young people with the education and opportunities afforded to our children.
We will be improving livelihoods with donations by providing income sources, improving homes, etc. This will be based on assessing the need for area and individuals.
