Story
Spanning over 10 years, the building and funding of the primary school in the isolated mountain village of Baleygon is the Wild Frontiers Foundation's most significant ongoing project to date.
While we allocate funds for the running costs on an annual basis, additional repairs and improvements are often needed to maintain and increase the standards at the school, as Jonny, founder of Wild Frontiers, discovered during his visit to the school in June - his first opportunity to get back to Pakistan since the beginning of the pandemic.
Work that needs our attention at this time includes repairing and refurbishing a currently disused classroom to make it once again fit for purpose, repainting parts of the school building, repairing a washroom and making the entrance to the school which is located next to a water channel, safer for students and teachers.
Funds raised will also help to ensure now, and in the future, we can retain our teaching staff levels with wage increases and ongoing skills and development training, plus provide provisions for learning and educational materials.
The school has become very important to the village, which didn't have easy access to formal education for its children prior to its opening in 2012.
You can help us to ensure the school remains thriving at the heart of this community.
