Are you feeling bold and brave this Halloween? Get involved with Bald for Beat on October 31st!
You can help us provide a safe space where people feel listened to, empowered and supported. You can bravely shave your head if youre ready or, persuade your uncle to get his legs or back waxed, or just shave that lockdown beard! We would love to have you on Team Beat, raising awareness and much needed funds for us this autumn.
Whilst you help us be there for eating disorders sufferers, our fundraising team will be here every step of the way to help you promote your brave move and get all the support you deserve.
There were many ways I thought of that I could have tried to raise money, but for me, I knew it had to be through shaving my head. So much of my body had changed through my illness and recovery, and I have been on a journey of love and acceptance of who I am now. But of the things I was most proud of in my recovery, it was finally having thick, healthy, hair again. So naturally, I shaved off all my hair. I wanted to prove to myself, and hopefully to even one other person, that your worth is not tied up in the way you look
