Story
Our Story: Bake for a Cure is a nationwide initiative started by CCF families to increase awareness of pediatric cardiomyopathy and raise much-needed funds for research. Throughout the year, bake sales take place at community centers, schools, and neighborhoods across the country to bring attention to pediatric cardiomyopathy, a chronic and potentially life-threatening heart disease. Bake for a Cure events bring people together, create special memories, and provide a creative outlet and fun activity for many.
"Bake" a Difference: Help kids with cardiomyopathy have better health outcomes and a brighter future with bake sales that raise funds for critical heart research. Support our national Bake for a Cure initiative by donating on this site or creating your own giving team to involve your friends and family in supporting pediatric cardiomyopathy research.
About CCF : The Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) is a national organization focused on finding causes and cures for all forms of pediatric cardiomyopathy. CCF started in 2002 with one family's determination to call attention to a poorly understood heart condition. Since then, CCF has grown into a global community of families, physicians, and scientists dedicated to improving diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for children with cardiomyopathy. CCF is consistently rated as a top non-profit by America's leading charity evaluators GreatNonprofits, CharityNavigator, and GuideStar. The Foundation's work was documented in an article, "From Partnership to Progress in the Field of Pediatric Cardiomyopathy," published in Progress in Pediatric Cardiology, an international peer-reviewed medical journal.
