Story
The Aziz Welfare Trust Hospital in Khuiratta was established to fill a critical gap in public healthcare for the people of Azad Kashmir – providing free, life-saving medical services to those who need it most. It serves a remote mountain region where there was no free public healthcare within reach.
Being a poor area, most families cannot afford the cost of treatment, leading to many unnecessary deaths. The Aziz Welfare Hospital was established to remove the financial barrier to quality healthcare.
We serve thousands of patients each month, offering free treatment in medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology, a kidney dialysis unit, maternity care, x-rays and radiology, dental care, an ambulance service and much more.
Every penny received goes directly to those who need it most. We believe your generosity should create real change. Our trustees all work on a voluntary basis and we keep our running costs to a minimum.
Our administration costs are covered by a small group of individuals who specifically donate towards the functioning of the charity. This means no part of your donation goes into advertising or fundraising, which makes our charity unique in this respect
