Ayeku is a wonderful, vibrant 13-year-old who deserves a safe, secure, and supportive outdoor space where he can truly thrive, play, and explore. Because of Ayeku's unique needs, navigating standard outdoor environments can be incredibly challenging. Having a secure area for sensory regulation, physical activity, and safe play is absolutely essential for Ayeku's well-being.

​Right now, we are on a mission to transform our garden into a dedicated, sensory-friendly sanctuary. To make this a reality, we are embarking on a vital landscaping project specifically designed around Ayeku's needs. We are installing reinforced high-privacy fencing to ensure complete security, specialized rubberized safety flooring to allow for confident movement without the risk of injury, and a protective polycarbonate roof structure so Ayeku can safely enjoy the outdoors and regulate his senses in all kinds of weather.

​While we are working hard to secure funding and combining every resource we have, the total cost of building a fully secure, accessible sensory garden is substantial.

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, then the funds will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects. If in those circumstances we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
