Story
Our equestrian program has empowered so many brave children through the years, including Robert - who lives with so many physical illnesses that his physical growth has been limited. When he arrived at the horse barn for the first time ever he looked at his counselor and said - "Can I ride that one?" Pointing to Daisy, the smallest of the horses that summer. Robert rode through the woods with other campers feeling 10 feet tall!. When he was done he kissed Daisy goodbye, telling her, "It's ok Daisy if your smaller than all the rest, you are the best and I love you."
This year we pay tribute to the memory of Susan Baker Banden. Sadly she passed away this year, and has been a dedicated member of the team and trails making this even possible. Please know if you make a donation you can make it in her memory.
Since 2002, distance riders have come together to have fun and raise money for Camp Boggy Creek. Nora Mask started this awesome annual event, then Jackie Baker managed the ride for 9 years, and Vicky Thompson has been the ride manager for the past 4 years. Nora's dream of supporting children with serious illnesses is being kept alive, and the promise of Camp is being delivered.
