Story
Autism Rocks Fife that has established an autism support centre in Buckhaven Fife for the last 8 year's, This centre is not just any facility, but a lifeline for over 3300 families from all over Fife and beyond who rely on our services. Now, we find ourselves in a situation where its existence is being threatened, due to the Church of Scotland selling the buildings. Risking the futures of families who depend on it.
Our centre is the only one of its kind. We offer assistance, care, and resources to autistic individuals and their families as well as external organisations and schools and nurseries , providing a platform that understands and caters to their unique needs. We provide 3 drop in sessions a week, a youth group, a teen and adult group , and family days. As well as pool parties , and many other activities at our Kaleidoscope centre in Buckhaven. Our services contribute significantly to the improved quality of life of many autistic individuals.
The closure of this support centre would represent an immeasurable loss to the community, forcing families to scramble to find alternative services that do not exist or meet their specific needs. It is critical, therefore, that we rally together to preserve this invaluable resource.
We need to be able to raise the funds to purchase the building and to carry out repairs to then be able to expand our services by providing more space and resources to support more families.
