A Safe Place to Be
These are strange times for us all to be going through, and very painful ones for so many. The past six months have been difficult, the present is confusing, and the future is uncertain. Yet the Lord has blessed the work of Caring For Life so richly. He has been at work in remarkable ways, bringing people to Himself.
We are very excited to share with you that Caring For Life has been given an amazing opportunity, and you can be part of it. A generous donor has offered up to £100,000 towards a matched-fund initiative, with the challenge to find as many people as possible to give towards this appeal. E.g. if you give £10, it will become £20. £100 will become £200.
Michael, a gentleman we support, once said that Caring For Life is, "A safe place to be". Now, and on into the future, we want this to be a safe place ...
For providing support. For people to hear the gospel . For lonely people to find a family . For our teams to work in . For meeting up with our supporters .
All money raised from this appeal will be used towards:-
- Improving our failing resource centre, which desperately needs to be changed for when we are able to open our doors for beneficiaries again
- Housing the new Benefits and Tenancies Team who are meeting a vital need for some extremely vulnerable people.
- Providing break out rooms for those we care for to talk with our core workers who are there to help them through lives confusing and difficult challenges.
- Providing safe facilities for our staff to work in, and provide a place where we can safely meet our supporters.
This is a new type of fundraising activity for us, but we understand that match-funding usually not only reaches its goal, but often surpasses it, enabling much more to be done. We are thrilled that people have already pledged up to £50,000 towards the matched -fund initiative.
Please consider donating a gift, from £1 to £10,000 or whatever you feel able to give. And...Please see if you can introduce someone to Caring For Life who you think might be able to help us reach our goal, and possibly even start to follow this work that is making a real change in peoples lives.
If you would like to make a direct to bank transfer instead, please do get in touch with us by emailing: rebekah.sutcliffe@caringforlife.co.uk
This Match-Fund offer is open to us until 31st October.
