Story
This Iconic Art Deco building at the west end of the Cromer Promenade sits empty, in need of love, attention and a new lease of life. Rather than develop the space into a café (of which there are many fine establishments in the town and along the prom), we have been sharing our vision with North Norfolk District Council and working with them to turn this neglected, run-down storage area into an inspiring creative space. A space for people to see and exhibit art, participate in creative activities and attend community events. We believe this is a fantastic use for this building situated quite literally on the Norfolk coast, with endless inspiring views of the everchanging sea, horizon and skies.
This new Art Space will be a great addition to our town which is a real hub for artists and gaining an ever increasing reputation as having thriving creative community.
This campaign is looking for support towards getting the building in a fit state to open painting, damp proofing, electrics, plumbing, flooring, shutters etc. before embarking on longer term projects such as accessible ramps and bespoke lighting.
If you would like to play a part in this exciting journey, invest in our beautiful town and help us to make a difference please donate. We are grateful for every single pound that can help us reach our target and achieve this dream.
We are also grateful to have such a dedicated team of volunteers who run the charity, giving their time to make creative things happen in our town.
