Story

Armour College of Engineering Board of Advisors Challenge

Every gift helps Armour College of Engineering go further in achieving our vision for the future. If 50 donors give to Armour College on Giving Day, we will unlock an additional $12,000 for the college. Special thanks to Armour Board of Advisor members Jim Gagnard (EE '69), Pete M. Kelly (ME ’01, M.A.S. ECE ’05), Peter Matic (ME '77), and Mark Wallace (EE '88) for sponsoring this challenge.

Why support Armour College of Engineering on Giving Day?

• Scholarships break down the financial barriers that get in the way of students accessing our engineering programs—programs that will allow them to move from the bottom 20% to the top 20% socioeconomically.

• Engineering has always been a hands-on profession, and the full complement of experiential-learning opportunities provided through the Armour Academy will help students develop those hands-on, teamwork, and leadership skills that will set them apart in the engineering workforce of the future.

• More funds would allow us to get more undergraduate and graduate students participation in Armour Research & Development, provide support to the students who are attending professional society meetings to present their work, and to increase interaction opportunities with industrial and academic professionals.
