With over 600 schools attending the tournament and also going on the tour experience, this is an incredible opportunity to truly show our scholars what it means to be part of a sports team and engross themselves in new cultures and surroundings. We want to be able to give our scholars the very best experience so they will always remember what an incredible time they had on their tour. To support the Netball team in going on this tour and giving them very best time away we are running two major fundraising events alongside the scholars personal fundraising pursuits. These are:

1. Scholar Vs Staff Netball match: Thursday 2nd February; 3:15-4:15 pm where the staff will play against an elite selection of scholars across 9-11 that are attending the trip to Barcelona. Tickets are being sold at school on the morning of the match so scholars can come cheer on their peers.

2. Copper Box walk: Wednesday 8th February- Scholars on the Netball team during their Drop-Down Day will be walking to the Copper box in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park. Their target is to raise £50 per Scholar. The walk will cover a distance of 5 miles. We will be dropped off at the Greenwich foot tunnel by the school's minibus. We will then complete a 5 mile walk to the Copper Box.

The girls have been working incredibly hard in training this year, turning up to every season demonstrating true commitment and ambition, they have performed extremely well at local tournaments and fixtures against other schools within London Boroughs as well as our year 8's coming 2nd against all other Ark schools in the Ark championships and our Year 9's Winning their championships against all the other Ark schools. The girls deserve to be rewarded for all their hard work and we want to be able to give them the best time and experience including some kit as a memento of their tour.
