At Ark Acton Academy, we have an incredible group of steel pan players but we don’t have enough pans for those who want to play. Not only that, the pans that we do have are very old and don’t have the right layout.

We want to have the best steel pan group in the network and for this to happen, we desperately need new pans! We are very lucky to have an amazing steel pan tutor (Leo) and our wonderful Maths teacher Ms Warner-River who is an amazing pan player, but without new pans, we are very limited as to what we can play.

New pans will mean that more of our students will be able to learn pans and that we will be able to play lots more pieces in our school concerts. This will make a big difference to both the club and our concerts as steel pans are becoming much more popular across the school.
