Due to popular demand we now have two trips going out for our Arctic Survival Challenge!
Our first team will go from the 5th - 12th March 2023
Our second team will go from 12th - 19th March 2023
Set in a stunning and pristine wilderness 150 km south of the Arctic Circle, this 8 day once in a lifetime experience will challenge their ability to adapt and live in the heart of this harsh environment. Testing their survival instincts and providing complete tranquillity and relaxation under the Arctic stars. Our fleet of Team Mission explorers will experience the thrill of husky driving and snowmobiling as well as learn the life-saving skills of ice fishing, fire lighting, shelter and snow hole building to name but a few.
By taking part in this amazing challenge they will be helping to raise vital life saving funds for both our Childrens Air Ambulance and Local Air Ambulance.
Our Charity operates as the national
Childrens Air Ambulance and the local air ambulance services for
Warwickshire, Northamptonshire,
Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland.
We do not receive any government funding for either of the services and
we rely entirely on donations to raise the money we need for each lifesaving mission.
The Childrens Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital
transfer service flying babies and children from one
hospital to another for specialist care.
We work with 10 NHS paediatric and neonatal
retrieval teams across the UK, enabling them to
bring their specialist equipment on board to safely
transfer their patients from one hospital to another.
If a child is too sick to fly then the Childrens Air
Ambulance can fly a specialist team directly to
them.
With our ability to fly approximately four times
faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise
travel times and the risk for little patients.
Every day of the year, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance is
helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics,
doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue
missions a day.
Within minutes they can be on the ground delivering
lifesaving care. The air ambulance gives people the
very best chance of survival and recovery.
We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning
that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a
day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
