Story
Walk the Thames Path for Anyone's Child: Families for Safer Drug Control this summer, as we head to Parliament to demand MPs end the drug war.
Drug-related deaths are at an all time high in the UK: 10 per day, 70 per week and over 3500 per year. Behind each figure in these statistics is a real person, and a network of family and friends left behind. There has never been a more urgent time to get drugs under control.
Through regulation we can put doctors, pharmacists and licensed retailers in charge of the drugs trade, helping to protect people from the harms of prohibition and the criminal market.
Our walk will begin on 20th June in Henley-on-Thames and will finish in a mass lobby in parliament on 25th June. Please join for as much or as little as you like, help us to raise awareness about the harms of current drug policy, and make change a reality.
Across the world, drug policy reform is happening! Canada, Uruguay and US states have all legalised cannabis and more and more countries are decriminalising drug possession. Its time for our leaders to take note and make reform a reality here in the UK too.
You can help to end the drug war, better protect our children and get drugs under control.
