Story
At the start of the 2023 summer holidays, Angus noticed a small lump in his neck. 10 days later he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and very shortly after that, he started his treatment at the Royal Marsden in Sutton.
When his teachers found out, they immediately wanted to do something to show their support. So three of them entered the Oxford Half Marathon as Angus’ Army with a goal of raising £600 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. As news spread, friends and family were desperate to get involved by joining the runners, coming along to support on the day or doing their own fundraising. 12 runners and £16,000 later the passion and enthusiasm from everyone to join Angus’ Army has been incredible.
Teachers, students, friends & family have all got some fantastic events planned so we can carry on raising more funds for the vital research, treatment & equipment that is used to support so many teenagers, young people & their families through such difficult times.
