Story
For many, Christmas can be a time filled with excitement as families come together, looking forward to the joy of giving and receiving gifts. However, for the children of those in prison, the holiday season takes on a different tone. It serves as a stark reminder that someone they care about is absent. While their friends look forward to family reunions, these children are reminded of people not there. On the other side, parents outside face the added challenge of providing for their children amidst financial constraints, particularly during this time of heightened expenses.
Our Angel Tree project is all about giving some hope and cheer into this challenging time. Collaborating with family centres in Scottish prisons, we strive to make Christmas brighter for the children of those in prison. We organise Christmas parties and ensure they receive gifts. Beyond the joy it brings to these young ones, it offers parents in prison an opportunity to connect with their children during this special season. Let us help to make this Christmas a time of hope and togetherness for every family, no matter their circumstances.
Please join us on this mission to give a bit of Christmas hope where it's needed the most. Your contribution, no matter the size, will genuinely make a difference and bring smiles to those who need it dearly. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
