Story
Thrill-seeking participants have volunteered to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, whilst raising some pennies to support initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our NHS colleagues.
It is Brighterway's mission to support our colleagues, by supporting their health and wellbeing, they are playing their part in enabling the delivery of high quality care of our patients.
Please support our Team to support Brighterway!
A message from Angela:-
Very excited albeit slightly nervous about the abseil.
Ive been an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Petersfield Community Hospital (PCH) on Cedar ward and the community assessment unit for the last 3 years. PCH is my home-from-home and my colleagues and patients are like my second family. This opportunity means I can contribute, through the support of Brightaways, to give my work family some luxuries they deserve and need to contribute to their hospital ‘home’ environment.
In a previous life as a conservation medic, I climbed up a tree, slept in a hammock and abseiled back down in the Indonesian rainforest , however the distraction of animals and heavy canopy may be slightly different to the expanse of the Solent.
For my husband and children (Will, Emilia and Freddie) watch mummy push herself out of her comfort zone to give something for others will push me through it.
If there is anything anyone can donate to help such a worthy cause, it would be hugely appreciated by many.
