Story
Andy Hey was a pillar of the Wildridings Community and an inspiration to so many at Wildridings Primary School. Andy and his family lived to support our community and would do anything they could to provide experiences above and beyond. The loss of Mr. Hey has resonated across the community and there were not many lives this wonderful man hadn't been a part of. His kind heart and ability to give back more than he took from life was something truly special. Andy's passion was the children of our community and he would regularly support them, in anyway he could, particularly through sport. Andy ran football clubs, coached cricket and even supported our non-swimmers in the pool - there wasn't much Andy wouldn't do.
Andy's wife Sarah has asked that the school, instead of flowers and gifts, set up a 'Just Giving' page to raise money to purchase something sporty, for the children, that we could dedicate to Mr. Hey.
We have always wanted to provide a multi-sports area for our children and what better way to celebrate Andy's life than through his love of football. We want our young people to be inspired by Andy's legacy and to remember him always.
He was truly an incredible husband, dad, an amazing friend and a superb colleague. He will be missed but we will always carry him with us in our hearts and through a tangible sports legacy.
