Lift Project

Our existing lifts are too small for efficient operation of the Care Home and comfort of residents. The new Lift will take several passengers and equipment. It will make a significant difference to the daily lives of residents and staff.

Story

Andersons Care Home has deep roots in the community. It operates as a charitable trust founded by General Andersons legacy in 1832 with a mission to provide exceptional care for residents.

The existing lifts in the old, listed building were installed many years ago but their capacities were limited by the internal design of the building. They are now too small for efficient operation of a modern Care Home and comfort of residents.

The new Lift will be constructed at the rear of the main building and has been designed to take several passengers and equipment. It will make a big difference to the daily lives of residents and staff.

This is our second Lift Appeal. In 2019 we managed to raise £100,000. Unfortunately, Covid-19 brought all plans to a halt. Now that we are able to start again, we find that prices have risen dramatically and we need to fundraise a further £70,000.
