Story

Skye and Lochalsh Mental Health Association

We are a small independent charity who's mission is to provide practical and emotional support to those with mental health problems.

We run a drop in centre in Portree called Am Fasgadh which is open 7 days a week 365 days a year. and an outreach service at the Lighthouse in Kyle (each Tuesday from 10-2).

Currently we receive 68% of our funding from NHS Highland each year but this leaves us looking to raise 32% ourselves, this is done by applying to various trusts etc but also using the kind donations given via just giving.

You can find out more information about us on our website www.slmha.co.uk
