Story
The Oxygen Works has helped people across the Highlands and islands living with complex health concerns since 1992.... and we don't intend to stop now!
Having spent a day that would normally see The Oxygen Works full of hustle, bustle and good cheer, (St Patricks Day... any excuse for fun!) informing our members we would need to close our doors and cut off their social network just felt completely wrong for the team. As we sat down to our green soup as a team, the whole team felt lost.... and this is where the cogs started ticking...
Our vision is to deliver essential food packages to people in the high risk categories that are self-isolating, we have limitations with our financials, as everyone will at this time, however our moto is 'If everyone gives a little... we can help a lot'.
We would deliver essential packages to peoples door steps, containing the following:
1 pint of milk, 1 small loaf of bread, 1/2 a dozen eggs, a pot of homemade soup & 3 bulbs in a small pot (giving people something to watch grow and flourish, a wee glimmer of light and hope)
If you can't give any money then think about the other ways you could help.... do you know any local farmers or crofters that could donate milk, eggs or vegetables? could you bake some loaves of bread or know a local baker that could help out?
Thank you for your support!
