Story
We're taking to the skies and dangling on a rope to support the homeless charity Alabaré. A group from HMS Collingwood will be zipping down the side of the impressive Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth next summer. We understand that an ex-Marine has completed the challenge in 45 seconds so the race is on! Do come down and cheer us on.
The money we are raising will support veterans who were once homeless and are now building their confidence, skills and given opportunities to live fulfilling lives outside of the military. Alabaré has dedicated homes for veterans throughout the South, South West and Wales.
Each year the charity must raise £2m to deliver its mission and as this is a cause close to our hearts, we'll be taking part. Together, we aim to raise at least £3,000 from this event.
HMS Collingwood has supported Alabaré for a number of years. This time we are going to see just how fast we can be!
