This summer AKA and The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust have teamed up to take on the Tough Mudder Challenge at Belvoir Castle! An incredible team of 49 have joined forces all in the name of fundraising; The10km long course containing 20 different obstacles will be a gruelling physical challenge but worthwhile to raise much needed funds for both organisations.
AKA are a grass-roots not-for-profit organisation founded by three friends who are proactive and focused on making a positive impact on the city of Nottingham. Their aim is to make its people happier, healthier and unified. AKA proves access to projects and physical activities to people from disadvantaged and socially isolated groups of all ages to improve their physical, emotional and mental health. (www.akahwo.com)
The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust received their official charity status in 2021 and was founded in honour of Jordan Sinnott who tragically lost his life at the age of 25. The JSFT believe sport enriches peoples lives and are passionate about creating sporting opportunities for underprivileged children and young adults. In their first year, the JSFT raised £100,000 which supported 40 different projects across the UK like AKA, who are doing amazing things for the next generation. (www.js25.co.uk)
