The Action Heart Annual Appeal has formed an important part of our charity's fundraising over many years. It is the one month of the year when we give our patients/members/friends an opportunity to make a 'one off' donation to support the work of Action Heart here in Dudley. We like to think that the work of Action Heart does really make a difference. Here at Action Heart we are dedicated to the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular related conditions and our 12 month exercise and education programme enables our patients to return to a 'normal' everyday life much stronger, fitter and with a renewed confidence in life. The original cardiac rehabilitation programme has now developed to become a cardiovascular programme; routinely supporting patients with stroke, chronic kidney disease, diabetes and peripheral vascular disease. Most recently Action Heart's development has resulted in the charity providing exercise rehabilitation courses and support to cancer and Long Covid patients. The charity also provides prehabilitation exercise courses to patients awaiting major surgery in order to reduce surgical complications and aid post surgical recovery. For our part it is always heartwarming to receive such donations and we can assure you that your support is very much appreciated by everyone at Action Heart.
