Visit the charity's profileThe mission of the Children's Respite Trust is to ensure that no family has to care for a disabled child alone. When the Trust was founded in 2010, it was clear that far too many families faced unbearable pressures of living with the care needs of a disabled child and still do today. Events like the Adventure Run allows us to fund our vital services that mean families are given the room to breathe.
Our community support worker has gone out of her way to support my son and adapt to what he and I need. He is very happy with her and their time together takes some of the pressure of the rest of the family and helps us feel more connected to the world - Mum of F
