Story

Thank you for visiting our Active in April Campaign page!

We are challenging you, your friends and family to keep ACTIVE in APRIL by walking, jogging, running, skating, cycling or swimming 15, 30, 60 or 100 miles throughout the month. The challenge is set for all ages and abilities, wheelchair users are welcome to join in too

Our aim is to raise much needed awareness for the rare neurological condition Sturge Weber Syndrome which affects approximately 1 in every 20,000-50,000 individuals. SW UK relies solely on public donations, to enable us to assist the well being of those individuals, their families, friends, helpers and carers by providing information and support. Kind donations made to SW UK have a direct beneficial impact on children and adults affected by Sturge Weber Syndrome. Last year's campaign raised £4.375, with thanks to people like you, and supported the launch of Make a Difference Fund

If you haven't already done so, you can REGISTER here as a sole participant or share your miles as a family team. You will receive a FREE fundraising t shirt, awareness wristband, and a mascot teddy bear to escort you every step of the way. Each participant will also receive a downloadable tracker sheet that can be used to really keep you on track.

Join our Facebook Group connect with others taking part in the challenge. Share your updates, daily progress and personal fundraising pages. Its great way of raising awareness too . Download a Fitness App, these are great for tracking your steps, miles and routes. Popular apps are Strava and MapMyWalk, Strava can connect directly to your JustGiving fundraising page, and automatically share your maps and miles with all your supporters!

And finally.... hit the orange START FUNDRAISING button to create your own personal fundraising page to share with all your supporters! We have tired to make the next stage easy for you, and have set you a target.

Each registered participant will be awarded at the end of their challenge with a congratulations certificate, along with a chance to feature on our website
