Part of the Acrisure Group, Acrisure Re and Acrisure London Wholesale are a global insurance and reinsurance broker headquartered in London. As a company, we endeavour to support a Charity each year that is both relevant and important to our employees, and for 2022 we will be supporting the YoungMinds charity.

We have made this decision as we feel that the work YoungMinds do is very relevant for many of us, especially given the last couple of years when mental health has been a key issue in society generally, with COVID-19 having significantly impacted mental health and wellbeing. For the young population of the UK, a proportion of who would have already been battling mental health issues, the pandemic will only have intensified their suffering.

A close friend of one of our colleagues is a History Teacher and Boarding Tutor looking after students of GCSE and A-Level age. They, sadly, had to cope with a student committing suicide during one of the lockdowns, and subsequently were overwhelmed with struggling to deal with this on their own. This is not just an isolated incident, but far reaching across different demographics and areas. This is where YoungMinds comes in their mission is to the make sure all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
