As an affiliate to Rochester Regional Health Foundations Board of Directors, the Ambassador Councils mission is to engage, educate, empower and inspire young leaders in the communities that we serve. Each year the Ambassador Council helps raise awareness and support for priorities throughout the health care system that align with their programmatic interests.

This year, we have chosen to support the RRHs Healthy Moms program through our efforts.

RRHs Healthy Moms program helps create a nurturing environment to empower future and current mothers to reach their highest potential. For many, it provides life-changing resources, enabling moms to become physically healthy, emotionally healthy, and self-sufficient. This program offers the following services: pregnancy education classes, on-site mental health counseling, care management, Project Independence - a job training program, a leadership academy, and a home visiting program for pregnant women and women with children under two years old.

As young professionals, many in the Ambassador Council are becoming parents for the first time. As such - we know just how vital programs like Healthy Moms can be.
