Story
Our mission at Gympanzees is to enable every child and young person with a disability to access regular play, exercise and friendship, to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing, and to take their families out of isolation.
We are currently developing plans for the UKs first dedicated play, exercise and social inclusion complex and offer Pop Up events throughout Easter and Summer holidays to cater for the immediate needs of the 58,000 children and young people with disabilities living within an hour of Bristol.
Due to Covid 19 we have had to cancel our Pop Up events but have developed project Our Home to take some Gympanzees fun into families homes, helping them feel less isolated whilst engaging in specific and inclusive play and exercise activities.
We are creating fun and engaging content that will help children and young people with disabilities to exercise and play at home with their families. The content will be underpinned with therapeutic and health benefits and aimed at all disabilities. We are also developing a lending library to give families access to our specialist equipment
If you would like to support us during this time, we would like to offer a very heartfelt Thank You. Your support will help us to deliver project Our Home and provide support to our amazing families. It will also allow us to continue making steps towards a permanent home for Gympanzees that will be open 364 days a year.
