ABI Navigators - Empowering Lives: Volunteer Training for Brain Injury Support

A brain injury can change everything in an instant—affecting independence, confidence, and everyday life. Many people struggle to access the right support, leaving them feeling lost and alone.

That’s why we’re launching our ABI Navigators - Empowering Lives campaign to fund 15 specialised volunteers who will provide lifeline support to survivors across Sussex. These trained volunteers will help people navigate rehabilitation, access essential services, and regain independence.

It costs £1,600 per volunteer per year to recruit, train, and equip them with the technology they need to make a real difference. With £25,000, we can launch this vital initiative—but we need your help!

Our team has identified 121 ABI survivors and their families who would benefit from tailored support and personalised information. Each year, we could refer up to 745 people—around 90% of new Helpline callers—into this service, offering both short-term guidance and ongoing assistance.
