Story
On Saturday 7th September 2024, Air Ambulance NI are holding a dedicated charity day for people to come along and do a 15,000ft tandem skydive to support their air ambulance.
Working in partnership with event hosts Skydive Ireland, participants will have the opportunity to climb to 15,000ft, the highest possible altitude for a skydive across the whole of Ireland, and then freefall at speeds of 120mph downwards for one minute before the parachute opens.
This is an extreme challenge but one which you will never forget. This event is to support Air Ambulance NI, the region's only helicopter emergency medical service. Each and every day, Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the NI Ambulance Service (NIAS), attend the most critically ill and injured patients, providing pre-hospital interventions and care at the scene before they are transported to the most appropriate hospital for their injuries. Each day, Air Ambulance NI requires £6850 to stay operational.
It is through charity fundraising events like this that allows the helicopter and medical team to continue to save lives, brains and limbs in the region. Thank you for your support. For more information, search Air Ambulance NI on social media or visit www.airambulanceni.org
