Creating a warm welcome

We love visitors at Matumaini in Kenya, and recently we have hosted a number of training events and seminars for the community. We lack quality accommodation to host overnight and so we need to revamp an existing building for that purpose....

Story

Matumaini Rehabilitation Centre (MRC) provides comprehensive care for disabled and disadvantaged children. Our vision is to see these children reach their full potential and to lead the way in building a local society where disabled children are loved, valued, safe and nurtured.

Once completed, this guest house project will enable MRC to host trainees on-site, at the same time as generating an income through rent.

There is a very good ‘skeleton’ of a guest house at MRC... but it needs a complete overhaul!

Scope of Works:

Demolitions (creating windows and doorways)

Masonry

Ceiling and roofing repairs

Tiling

Plumbing (new bathrooms etc)

Electrical works

Painting
