Story
Key4Lifes mission is to reduce youth reoffending through the delivery of anground-breaking rehabilitation programme to young men (18 to 30-year-olds) in prison and those at risk of going to prison and more recently children (10 to 17-year olds) caught up ingang and knife crime. The Key4Life programme works with some of the most disadvantaged young men by supporting and empowering them to secure employment and reintegrate into society on a positive path away from crime. The cost of putting one participant through the Key4Life programme is £5,000 versus the average annual cost of a prison place in England and Wales of £37,000.
Key4Life delivers its innovative 7-step rehabilitation programme with the support of businesses and trained volunteer mentors, and is based on three key pillars:
* Emotional resilience and unlocking negative behaviours that led to conviction which includes bringing horses into prison, football and music
* Employability support to gain work experience and secure a job.
* On-going support to reintegrate into the community and sustain employment for lasting change re-offending rate of 64% one-year post-release
With your support, this event aims to raise funds to help support young men in London to prepare for permanent employment and complete their rehabilitation programme.
