Story
The former Wales, Manchester United and Wrexham midfielder Mickey Thomas has been cured of oesophagus cancer after life-saving treatment at the Maelor Hospital in Wrexham.
In the aftermath of Mickey Thomas' successful surgery, he will reunite with his surgeon and the healthcare team for a celebratory walk to Snowdon's summit. Mickey will also be joined by close family, friends, fellow players and local supporters in celebrating this huge milestone.
The sponsored walk is Mickey's way of giving back to the NHS, which, he says, 'has saved my life', and to raise as much money as possible in aid of the Upper G.I. Surgical Unit at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital, which will benefit other patients like him, who are being treated and cared for by the wonderful staff at the hospital.
Thank you for your incredible support. It will make a huge difference!
