Story

Water is a necessity for human life, but unfortunately, there are millions of people trapped in a cycle of poverty and disease due to not having access to clean drinking water. We have supported over 400,000 families and growing. Together we can do a lot more

844 million people lack basic drinking water access, more than 1 of every 10 people on the planet.

Women and girls spend an estimated 200 million hours hauling water every day.

The average woman in rural Africa walks 6 kilometres every day to haul 40 pounds of water.

Every day, more than 800 children under age 5 die from diarrhoea attributed to poor water and sanitation.

By 2050, at least 1 in 4 people will likely live in a country affected by chronic or recurring fresh-water shortages.

2.3 billion people live without access to basic sanitation.

892 million people practice open defecation.

90% of all-natural disasters are water related.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has launched an Appeal to welcome the New Islamic Year. We want to start the new year by providing clean water to orphan and needy children.

Children walk an average of 3.5 miles carrying litres of water every day just to have access to some water. The weather may be freezing cold or scorching hot, but they still have to make that walk daily.

The Purpose of this campaign is to raise money to build 4 solar powered Tube wells (£10,000/each) and 4 Filtration Plants (£15,000/each) providing clean water in Minhaj Welfare Foundations new Orphan Care Complex.

Your donation will provide orphan and needy children access to clean water, an education, and a brighter future

We are using innovative solutions to provide easy access to water for larger communities. The solar powered water facilities enable women and children to simply turn the tap and enjoy the luxury of clean water.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation is continuously searching for new and innovative ways to end the water crisis.
