My Walk4Food
SubhanAllah we've all felt the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Many of us have struggled with sickness or day-to-day life in isolation, and sadly many have lost loved ones.
Around the world, the effects of this pandemic are being felt. Millions of people are being pushed into poverty. Food shortages, lack of medical equipment and those infected face an impossible struggle with the virus due to a lack of proper medical support.
This is why I've decided to do a Walk4Food - to help feed vulnerable people and ensure they don't go hungry.
I am going to Walk4Food on the 22nd May 2020 from 12pm inshallah!
I will livestream my challenge on my Facebook page to connect with my lovely donors and supporters: Facebook.com/DrHanyElbanna
My 4 mile walk will begin at the starting place of Islamic Relief;
(START) 477 Moseley Road --> Ghamkol Shareef --> Green Lane Masjid --> Amanah Mosque --> Birmingham Central Mosque (END)
Help me reach my target by donating a food pack, or as many food packs as you can to feed families.
The Prophet (SAW) said: Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity. - Tirmidhi
Where will your donations go?
Islamic Relief implement the food programme in over 30 countries across the globe. I am hoping to focus on providing food parcels in 5 specific countries; Mali, Niger, Somali, Ethiopia and South Sudan.
Food supply chains have been disrupted by COVID-19. Those most vulnerable cant even get the basics such as food they need to survive but Islamic Relief is present on the ground, distributing donations on your behalf.
How you can help..
As we enter the final 10 blessed nights of Ramadan, our opportunities to gather the rewards of the holy month are multiplied, but also limited.
Please support my appeal and help Islamic Relief Save Lives.
