As we find ourselves in challenging and uncertain times we have all become reliant on the support around us. Whether it be from family and friends at a distance, our neighbours or one of the many community initiatives in place to provide a helping hand. We Hear You are still very much here, providing our free professional counselling to anyone affected by cancer or life threatening conditions.

This support now extends to those who have had coronavirus, or are bereaved by the virus. As we are all aware of the heightened anxiety the virus is causing, particularly for those who are also affected by cancer or other life threatening conditions and are now in the heart breaking position of being separated from their loved ones, friends and family. WHY continues to take referrals and support our communities with counselling online and via the telephone, and will of course return to a complete and comprehensive package of support as soon as it is safe to do so and therefore continue to need to raise vital funds for the services that we deliver both now and in the future.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on our ability to fundraise. With the cancellation of all face to face fundraising for the foreseeable future, 70% of our community income is now at risk. We now need your support more than ever before. If you can make a donation to our appeal, no matter how small, it will make a big difference. It is your donations that ensure WHY can provide people with a life line at what is often described as the darkest time of their lives.

You may wish to take on a sponsored virtual challenge or event, hold a virtual quiz night with friends or family, set up a small regular donation, or asking for donations instead of birthday gifts, are all ways your support can help us fund vital counselling for local families living with the affects of life threatening conditions.
