Hayley and Jenny, our lovely VCS colleagues, started training in November, through the snow and cold in December, for the Hampton Court Half Marathon on 26th March.

As a charity, VCS need to continually raise money to keep the Volunteer Centre going and at the heart of our community. The staff feel so strongly about all the valuable work we do, that they wanted to raise some much needed funding for us.

The vital work VCS carries out supports disadvantaged children and young people experiencing complex life circumstances and provides companionship to lonely and isolated elderly residents through the power of volunteers. We are also the go to people for any community programs that require volunteers; local charitable organisations, Covid vaccination marshals, warm spaces, youth work and migrant and refugee support.
