We have all watched with horror and helplessness, the events over the last few weeks and months unfold in Afghanistan. We are now able to welcome and support Afghans as they arrive in our community. Support provided by Upbeat Communities may range from providing toiletries and clothing, to supporting families in their children's education or community activities to help people feel safe and connected. With your help, Upbeat Communities can be ready to meet the specific needs of those seeking refuge here and support their families as they come to terms with this enormous transition in their lives.

UPDATE 27/8/21 Thank you so much to those who have already donated. Our team saw an immediate need for the children currently in hotels. They needed fun activities to help them play and snacks between meals. They needed the chance to be children and have some fun as this is so important as they process what they have been through. So we have delivered fun and snacks thanks to your donations! Our team are continuing to assess the needs of the families and we'll update you again soon.

Any funds raised beyond the amount required to support our new Afghan neighbours, will be used to support those seeking refuge and the work of Upbeat Communities.
