Story
For more than 50 years, Partners in Child Development has provided children, of all abilities, with a solid foundation for life-long learning through our educational, therapeutic and family support programs. Each year, we provide care and services to more than 1,900 children and their families and our annual Trot for Tots 5K fundraiser makes our important work possible.
The success of our Trot is even more critical this year as we continue to witness a significant increase in referrals for toddlers experiencing developmental delays. The pandemic brought isolation, stress and anxiety into their young lives and caused them to miss important parts of typical physical, social and emotional development. From significant speech delays and fine motor development to difficulty with emotional regulation, and social or behavioral issues, our Early Intervention team continues to provide therapeutic interventions to help them bridge the gap in their development and set them on a path for success.
Monies raised from this year's Trot will also impact the students in our Anderson School. Your support will enable us to provide a warm, nurturing, and therapeutic environment, conducive to learning and maximizing each students independence, for children aged 3-12, with physical and cognitive disabilities and complex medical conditions. Funds from the Trot will allow us to meet the evolving communication needs of our students and equip each child with the appropriate assistive technology and augmentative communication devices to give them a voice, maximize their independence and help them reach their greatest potential.
Please join us in this extraordinary effort for these very special children and support their efforts to gain independence, overcome challenges and reach their goals. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
