Story
Your support will help us to continue empowering people and communities to keep themselves safe through innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
Our work is expanding and we need your help to make a difference. The innovative community-led programme, MAMaZ Against Malaria (MAM) at scale tackling malaria and COVID-19 in Zambia has expanded to 10 districts in the country. Emergency Transport Schemes (ETS) provide a vital link between rural communities and health services, as part of the MAM at Scale programme. ETS riders are volunteers who serve their communities by using bicycle ambulances to take people to health facilities in medical emergencies.
Transport and healthcare, they should move together, explains Emmanuel. When you are not using transport, it means you are causing deaths, because people come to the clinic very late. But when you are using fast transport, people can be helped." Emmanuel, an ETS Volunteer in Zambia
With your support, we can continue to transform lives through safe, available and sustainable transport. See here for more information on our programmes.
