Story
To help us to continue supporting people affected by sight loss in these difficult times, we are launching an exciting new fundraiser.
Chris Hammond, one of the people we support came up with the idea of 'The Tour De Vista'. Inspired by the 2.6 Challenge, Chris would like as many people as possible to join him in cycling 87 miles during the week of 27th July 31st July.
The virtual route will cover the Vista charity shops and care homes during the week and will start from our Head Office on New Walk in Leicester. The distance to be covered each day will range from 7.5 miles to 24 miles and its entirely up to you how you split the distance during the day, it doesn't all have to be done in one go.
At Vista we support people with sight loss across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. During this unprecedented time, we are all being asked to make changes to our lives which impact on our daily living. The people we support not only have to adapt to these changes but manage sight loss too. Imagine just for a moment, trying to do that?
At Vista we are adapting to the world today and in the way we support people with sight loss. Getting involved with this challenge or kindly donating a small amount to your friends page will make a significant difference to someone we support. As a charity we rely on the kind donations we receive from the public to provide the help we offer on a daily basis.
