Story
A personal note from The Danesmoor Group:
Almost all of us will know someone with dementia. It is a devastating and heart-breaking illness that will directly affect many of our colleagues, customers, and wider communities throughout the years. By 2025, one million people in the UK will have a diagnosis of dementia, meaning in turn, one million families will need support.
Thats why were proud to be supporting Dementia UK across 2022 & 2023, with every penny raised by the Danesmoor Group helping to provide a lifeline and expert care to those who need it.
Our latest challenge:
Following on from a successful Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge last year in which we raised over £11,000 for Dementia UK, we have decided to take on another challenge in May 2023 called the Italian Coast to Coast. This event will see ten of our colleagues, including CEO Mark Stephenson, ride over 360km across Italy in a gruelling six-day mission through the rolling Tuscan hills from Rimini to Pisa.
Plus, with more events planned throughout 2023, were determined to raise as much money as possible to further support specialist dementia nurses across the UK. Every donation will help make sure that no family has to face dementia alone, so we cant thank you enough for your support.
We're Dementia UK - the only specialist dementia nurse charity.
There is no cure for dementia. But there is care. And care can change lives. That's why Dementia UK is here. Our nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, who we continually support and develop, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia including Alzheimers disease.
Our nurses are here when people need help. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems. As dementia specialists, Admiral Nurses help families manage complex needs considering the person living with dementia and the people around them and they can advise other healthcare professionals.
For families affected by dementia, they can be a lifeline.
Every donation will help make sure that no family has to face dementia alone. Thank you so much for your support.
