Story
Our state's innovative last-dollar scholarship programs, TN Promise and TN Reconnect, provide students with free tuition, but the cost of textbooks can be a major stumbling block that leaves students in a difficult position. With the average cost of textbooks exceeding $500 per semester, many low- and even moderate-income students cannot afford these critically important resources and yet we know that students won't be successful without them.
That's why the NSCC Foundation, through a generous bequest from the estate of longtime Nashville State supporter John E. Mayfield, established the Textbook Assistance Program. Supplemental gifts from donors like you help us grow and sustain the program, ensuring that students have the tools they need to succeed.
