Story
All of us at Latham Centers wish to thank our team of dedicated runners and the generous donors who supported them in this year's Falmouth Road Race! Over $10,000 was raised to support Special Olympics and fitness education at Latham Centers! We are bursting with pride and gratitude. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the children and adults we serve.
Latham Centers provides innovative treatment and support services for intellectually disabled children and adults, and for individuals living with Prader-Willi Syndrome. We have created an environment that promotes healthy living and the development of lasting relationships; and where people learn mastery of skills and a sense of their place in the world.
This year, funds raised through Team Latham's participation in the 50th Anniversary running of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race will help fund our students' and adult residents' training, equipment, uniforms, and participation in Special Olympics events. Special Olympics offers year-round sports training and competition in a variety of sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes,
