Story
This summer, by taking part in the Inflatable 5K Challenge you are not only having fun at the biggest Inflatable 5k obstacle event ever created; you are showing your support for our Teenage and Young Adult cancer Nurse (TYA Nurse), Meg, who cares for all 16 - 25 year olds with cancer in the counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The impact of a cancer diagnosis on children and families can be immense and Cobalt are incredibly proud of our supporters and fundraising, which enables us to fund a specialist Teenage and Young Adult with Cancer Nurse. We hope that through your fundraising, you too feel a sense of pride about what you have achieved for young people with cancer - thank you.
I'm a specialist nurse for teenagers and young adults, aged 16-25 years with cancer. Its only over recent years, that healthcare professionals have recognised that this patient population are neglected and vulnerable and if they do get cancer that they have different needs to adults and children
