Story
Tony's 1st Christmas in 2014 was a very bleak one, one that no-one thought he would survive, he had spent weeks on life support due to horrific non accidental injuries he suffered at 41 days old. He was that poorly that support was to be withdrawn but as he was a child of the court and it was the holidays it was delayed and thankfully it was.
The magic of Christmas meant he started to turn a corner, still extremely poorly but there was hope!
Tony came to live with us at 4 months old as a foster baby (then adopted in 2016), tiny, broken, shutdown and withdrawn but slowly this beautiful boy began to blossom with the love, safety and care we all gave him. Sadly he had to have his legs amputated in 2017 due to the horrific injuries he sustained.
BUT there is a beautiful ending Tony's strength, resilience and never give up attitude shone throw and last year he raised over 1.5 million for the Evelina Children's Hospital that saved his life. Inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore he walked on his new prosthetic legs conquering over 13.5km in June. Since then Tony has gone on to inspire a nation and formed our new charity Tony Hudgell Foundation to enhance the lives of vulnerable children like Tony and give them a better tomorrow.
This bring us to Christmas 2021 and Tony wants to give the magic of Christmas to other children that aren't as lucky and fortunate as him. During the Christmas period child cruelty increases dramatically and last year 2020 the figures rose by 67% on the year before.
Lets bring some magic to those children's lives by being a secret Santa and we will post updates of Tony being a real life Santa xxx
