Rotary has recently been working with local schools and discovered that there are many Folkestone families struggling to provide their children with school uniform (plus PE kits, shoes and coats).

Uniforms can create a sense of community, promote equality and help pupils succeed.

The average cost is £30 for a primary and £200.for a secondary school uniform.

We are working with Family Liaison Officers to identify those we can best support.

So far this year Rotary has donated £1000 towards helping local families buy school uniforms.
