Did you know that youth unemployment is expected to cost the UK £6.9 billion in 2022 alone? With job losses, school closures, and an overall lack of positive opportunities available to young people ensuring that the current crisis will have long-term effects, scarring young people's chances of employment and progression for years to come. We must act now to ensure that young people are supported to gain the skills, qualifications, and experiences necessary to move into work!
At Street League, we provide a direct solution to this problem. Our award-winning sport and employability academies utilise the power of sport to engage with you people, build their confidence and skillset and successfully move them into positive destinations such as work, education, or further training. In the last year, we have successfully engaged with 2444 young people across the UK, giving them the tools needed to achieve their goals and contribute to society.
